The Vernon Recreation Centre pool will be closed Sept. 8, 9 and 10 to allow staff to complete planned maintenance and repairs.
This work is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain the existing facility and ensure it remains operational for residents and visitors.
Active pool passes will be extended to account for the closure.
All other areas of the Vernon Recreation Centre will remain open, including regularly scheduled fitness and recreation programs.
Looking ahead: Vernon's Active Living Centre
The City is also continuing to advance construction of the new Active Living Centre, which remains on schedule for opening late Fall 2026. The new facility will significantly expand aquatic, fitness and wellness opportunities for the community.
In the meantime, residents are encouraged to continue enjoying the programs and services available at the Vernon Recreation Centre during its regular fall operating hours:
Vernon Recreation Centre fall hours of operation:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
