There are numerous ways to get around Vernon be it for work, school, shopping, recreation or just getting out to have fun with friends. Many residents drive, but Vernon also has scheduled bus service including service to Kelowna and other communities throughout the region. With an increasing number of trails, bike lanes and multi-use paths, many are choosing to leave their vehicle at home and cycle or walk to their destination.

Many people drive their own cars and may car pool for longer regular commutes. Parking is metered in the downtown core and accessible sites are clearly marked on street and parking lots.

We also have bike safety lanes in the city and trails around many popular routes. Walking, taking the bus along with taxi service and handyDART are also available. There is a regional transit system that connects other communities to Vernon.
