Emergency officials may determine residents must shelter in place. This would mean people are to stay safely indoors until the danger has passed.
Residents can take steps to be prepared for possibility of a dangerous spill by
- Taking steps to be informed, such as signing up for Vernon Connect
- Being prepared to evacuate or shelter in place as directed
- Building an Emergency Kit and Grab and Go Bag
