Solid Waste Management Bylaw 5911


To establish and provide for the operation of a service comprising the collection, removal, storage and disposal of solid waste, and to regulate, prohibit and impose requirements in relation to the service. The bylaw covers, but is not limited to:

  • Residential Cart Collection
  • Ownership and Maintenance of carts
  • Residential Organics Collection
  • Recyclables 
  • Chipping Service
  • Commercial Collection
  • General Waste Management
  • Prohibited materials
  • Enforcement, Contravention and Penalties
  • Fees and charges
