The South Okanagan Lower Similkameen Habitat Atlas for Wildlife at Risk is an initiative of the Ministry of Environment Penticton Office. The atlas and the web site are designed to provide information on wildlife at risk and their habitats in the South Okanagan.
The atlas focuses on 32 species considered "at risk" in the South Okanagan and Lower Similkameen and designated by the provincial government as candidates for endangered, threatened or vulnerable status.
The North Okanagan Resource / Habitat Atlas (NORHA) is a web-based mapping tool that brings together a variety of information about natural and cultural attributes and resources of the North Okanagan region.
Its main purpose is to build capacity within the North Okanagan community through facilitating access to local resource inventory that can be used for local land use planning and stewardship efforts.
A project funded by the Pacific Salmon Commission.
Fish Wizard can be used to create maps, view reports and find recent information about British Columbia's lakes, rivers and streams.

- Conservation projects that restore, maintain, or enhance native wild freshwater fish populations and habitats.
- Conservation projects that restore, maintain, or enhance native wildlife populations and habitats.
- Work required to initiate or to ensure the success of eligible conservation projects, as described above.
-
Information, education, and stewardship projects that enhance users enjoyment of fish, wildlife, and habitats or that foster human attitudes and behaviours favourable to management and conservation.
- Projects that acquire land or interests in land to secure the value of these areas for conservation purposes.
An informative and widely acclaimed Stewardship Series that challenges British Columbians to adopt a new vision - one that links human development and natural ecosystems, focuses limited human resources on limited natural resources, and creates healthier, more sustainable communities.
