City of Vernon Landscape Bylaws
During 2006 City Council considered Landscape Maintenance and Standards Bylaws that were to apply to all properties along certain road corridors. Council revised the bylaws so they apply to all properties in the City except those where a single family dwelling, duplex or threeplex building is located. An additional change to the bylaws was to include the property owner in the definition for those individuals that can maintain the landscaping and irrigation works. As well, the adopted bylaws will allow for reduced irrigation where such reduction will not impact the health of the plant materials.
