OPERATION SERVICES
HOURS OF OPERATION
Summer Hours will be in effect Monday to Friday, from
7:00 am to 3:30 pm, starting May 31 until September 3.
The Operation Services Division will return to regular hours of operation effective Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 with regular hours of operation from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The Operations Services Division business location is 1900 - 48 Ave. The Operation Division is responsible for the following City services.
Road restrictions within the City of Vernon are currently all lifted as of May 5, 2008

The Public Works Division is responsible for:
- Boulevard tree pruning, tree removal, tree spraying, and stump removal
- Boulevard and Lane Maintenance
- Cemetery maintenance- Pleasant Valley Cemetery
- Lane patching
- Okanagan Landing Area - Road & Drainage Maintenance
- Parks
- Sidewalks and pedestrian walkways
- Snow Control & De-Icing
- Street lighting
- Street paving and asphalt patching
- Street sweeping and flushing
- Traffic safety including traffic signals, signs, line painting, and litter control
- Weed control
