Property Tax Notice - 2011
Due Date: July 4, 2011
Tax notices have been mailed and most home owners should have received their tax notices. If you have not received your tax notice please contact City Hall.
Due to possible postal service interruption, PLEASE DO NOT MAIL YOUR PAYMENT.
In anticipation of a potential postal strike, the City of Vernon would like to inform our customers how they can access information about their City Property Tax account.
Property taxes will still be due on the tax deadline date, Monday, July 4th, 2011. Customers will still be responsible to check their account balances and this can be done by using the MyCity online service.
All customers will be responsible to ensure their property tax bill is paid by the due date, July 4th in order to avoid the 10% penalty. The City encourages customers to claim their homeowner grant using the City’s website and to pay via online banking.

- Pay at City Hall from Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. We accept post dated cheques!
- Drop off payment in the 24 hour secured drop box located in the front doors of City Hall

Create an account or log into an existing account on MY CITY. Go to www.vernon.ca/mycity and follow the instructions for creating an account. Your FOLIO NUMBER and ACCESS CODE can be found on your tax notice. Your account balance will reflect any payments received. You can also claim your home owner grant through our website at www.vernon.ca/ehog
If your taxes are paid through a mortgage company, a listing has been sent to the mortgage companies electronically. They have received the balance of the taxes owing on your property. Please confirm this payment with your mortgage company.
