eHOG - Claim Your Home Owner Grant Online

Residents eligible for the Home Owner Grant deduction can claim their grant through the City’s website.

What is eHOG?

eHOG is an electronic version of your Home Owner Grant application. By completing the eHOG application on the City’s website, you can:

  • Claim your eHOG without leaving home
  • Avoid the line-ups at City Hall

How to claim your grant on-line

Visit the City of Vernon Secure Server - https://ecommerce.vernon.ca

You will need your FOLIO NUMBER and ACCESS CODE to claim your grant online.

  • Follow the easy steps to complete the application
  • The eHOG application and the actual tax payment must be submitted by the due date of July 2, 2010 to avoid a 10% penalty.

  • The online Home Owner Grant application is easier to read, due to LARGER print.
  • To find out if you are eligible to claim the Home Owner Grant, please see the “EXPLANATORY NOTES – HOME OWNER GRANT” section on the reverse side of your tax notice.
  • Visit the official Home Owners Grant Website, http://www.sbr.gov.bc.ca/hog/

You may pay the balance due by:

  • Mail In or In Person
  • City Hall Drop Off Box
  • Your Financial Institution’s Telephone or Internet Banking Service
