There are a number of ways you can pay a Bylaw Offence Notice. Payments must be received within the noted time limits to receive the discounted amount. No exceptions will be made.

Please make your cheque or money order payable to the City of Vernon. Do not send cash in the mail. A dishonoured cheque will not be considered payment of the penalty within the prescribed time. Additional Charges will apply for NSF Cheques. Postmarks are not accepted as date of payment.

AFTER HOURS PAYMENTS
Payments may be made in the drop boxes located in the downtown core on each block of 30th Avenue, near the Post Office, and by the Hospital. Payments will also be accepted in the City Hall drop box located beside the main door off 30th Street.
Envelopes are located for use at each location, please ensure the bylaw notice is enclosed so that payment may be credited correctly.

PAYMENT TERMS If the ticket is paid within 14 days, in most cases a discounted penalty amount will be applicable as indicated on the ticket
If after 14 days the ticket is not paid and the ticket has not been disputed, or an Adjudication Hearing has not been requested, the opportunity to dispute the ticket is lost and the penalty will immediately become due and payable. A notice will be sent notifying of the debt.
If after 28 days, the ticket is not paid, a surcharge as indicated on the ticket will be added and a further notice is sent providing a final opportunity to pay. If payment is still not received after a further 14 days, the ticket may be forwarded to our collection agent and/or court action taken.
